Day 07 – A song that reminds you of a certain event

When I first heard this song I didn't take the literal meaning of it. Boy & Girl love drama. When this song first came out it was the Summer of 06' and I remember I had just put it on my mp3 player before that night....and I just remember being so tired and having the worst stomach at my Grandpa's the next day and just laying on the floor upstairs and listening to this song. It's not my fault...but yet it still has a deep scar in me and it's painful to remember. Luckily Coming Home came out a couple of months later and for some reason it was the perfect NFG album for me at that time. So NFG, I thank you.

So...I was watching Gossip Girl (we've already established I'm lame...lets move on) and I hear a very very familiar song come on as I'm about to get up and go eat. Yeah...Don't You Forget About Me covered by NFG comes on..and I sit there with my mouth hanging open....going NFG song on a commercial!?! Whoa! I never thought I'd see the day...haha not that I'm mad or anything I just thought it was cool. So look out for the new JC Penny Commercial which is basically a Breakfast Club remake montage.

Oh and Chad is such a tease. I was on movie scenster and they were talking about this commercial and some kid was like well I only like Sticks and Stones and Chad goes...we'll wait until you've heard the new album that Mark Hoppus produced for us. Gahhh I'm impatient.

Hopefully Luck is On My Side This Year (again)

This weekend went nothing like I thought it would but it was actually better. Saturday the brother and I were supposed to go to an all day training thing at church for video/powerpoint. But only 4 total people showed up and 3 of us knew pretty much everything there is to know...so they let us go home. Unfortunately nobody had dropped the car off for us yet so we walked home but we don't live that far....it was just really hot. So then we got to attend the my mom's company picnic. My Dad and I agreed it would've been a lot better if they'd rented a pavillion at Indiana Beach...haha so for the lameness of the party we took a bunch of cookies and chips home with us. What? Nobody was going to eat them...they were going to pack them back up.

Yesterday we all woke up late so no church. We went down to TRF. HOT. I got a corn dog and a frozen chocolate covered banana myyyy favorite part. Plus I got like 10 free samples of toothpaste lmao. We went over to the Old Fort (you know...why it's called Fort Wayne....there actually is a fort here...that's open....err once a year lmao. We rode the model-t bikes. My mom wouldn't let me drive heh. Then we came home and relaxed had some kobe burgers (amazingx100) and killed time until the fireworks. Went to our usual spot and saw em'. Pretty good, just wish they'd shoot the fireworks off the bank building downtown for 4th of July...but that'll never happen heh.

This morning....I get an email from thetruth.com to take another quiz for Warped Tickets...yes I could've possibly won again. The line-up kinda sucks this year but am I lame for wanting to see Angels & Airwaves just say I've seen Tom Delonge live? Plus FREE tickets so ....all I have to pay for is half the gas...and food/water. Which water I'm sneakin' in. So...don't let me down this year kids, it's the summer before I start college....lets let this Warped dream happen this time...granted I win again. I'm still pissed that I missed out on seeing NFG last year...ohhh my life would've been almost complete then. Of course if my Dad win's or somehow winds up getting Brickyard tickets for next weekend(not likely) then god...might as well leave me in Nobelsville on the way back and I'll campout at Walmart or White Castle or something haha. Anyways July 31st which is a...Thursday, next Thursday to be exact...keep it open. I have a junker car we probably shouldn't be driving on the highway at 70 mph so if you have a better one, I'll split the gas and buy you some White Castles or something. And of course the ticket!

Anyways, going to the library later...what's new? Ha. Oh...no roommate yet. No Housing Assignment yet....I'm getting antsy.

I'm Thirsty

I feel like...drinking a big glass of ice water right now. But I'm holding myself back because I ate a big meal and I know that drinking all that water will just make my stomach hurt and I'd rather be thirsty eh. Any who...not much has been going on lately...just the usual.

Facebook is amazing, because I keep meeting new kidz who actually live in the Fort who are going to BSU next year....today, I met Marc who is also going to be a T-com major going into production/editing as well. He seems nice and we may even hangout at school we'll see. Right now I just keep having nightmares about my first day not being able to find all my morning classes or getting to them late since I don't really have much time between the first three...yikes. After those classes I'm not really too worried because I should have plenty of time....especially on Tuesdays & Thursdays....Tuesday I don't have class until 2 haha.....and Thursday I have Spanish at 10 but then Psych at 2 again...so It's mainly Monday August 25th I'm dreading haha. I know I won't be getting much sleep the night before...I'll be a ball of nerves. That's pretty much the scariest part of college for me...that intial start of classes. Of course I had that fear going into high school to, hence the first day of freshmen year...freaking out when I couldn't get my locker open and then yet again freaking out when I was scared I'd get in trouble for being late for lunch. And think....I basically started high school twice in my life. Yeah, I think I can handle this...maybe I'll try to scope out where my classes are ahead of time..just so I won't get completely lost.

I still need to find XL Twin Sheets dammit. lol. Grr. Yeah I need to some serious shopping...which I'm actually kind of looking forward to, unfortunately some of it has to wait until I get my roommate assignment...aside from clothes...yeah I have so many right now I can't fit them all in my drawers and I want more....ahh typical girl habit I suppose...hey it's not like I'm going to take ALL of them with me. But another couple of pairs of jeans won't kill me.

NFG is recording right now...they started Vocals today...I'm excited. I want pictures and miss the web cam thingy from Catalyst days..and the video updates and wow just all of it...I feel really disconnected this time around. But I'm still psyched, of course...I'm pretty much psyched about everything these days.

Now Back to my Reality Show....

A response to the rumor mill threads on APnet which by the way are full of amazing puns that have been seriously cracking me up. Oh this is in regards to Chad Gilbert (NFG) dating Haley (Paramore) and Adam Larazza(however you spell his name from TBS) getting married after having broken up with Chauntelle(Eisley) a few months before....oh did I forget to mention that Chad (NFG) was married to Sherri (Eisley)....who is now dating Max Bemis (Say Anything) and who previously dated Jesse Lacey (Brand New) but that was before marrying Chad. haha. I just find it all amusing. Can't these people date outside of bands? Ah well more amusement for us.

Folds in the Fort!?!

Dang, I was just checking Ben Fold's myspace page, he's coming here October 3rd! I'll be in Muncie then. Gah. Seriously no fair I was the one who started that Demand on Demandit, somebody hook me up with some free tickets!?! Pleaseeee even if it is at the Embassy I still would love to go. Even though it'll probably be atleast 50 bucks just guessing though.

Anyways, still no luck with the NFG cd. Blah. Probably continue the search next week. As prom is tonight. I'm just waiting for the hair to dry and for the Aunt to come over to do my hair in a couple of hours, then I have to eat and I'll be good to go. It's going to be a lonnnng hopefullyfun night. Hey you only usually only get two chances to go to prom in your life might as well atleast attend one of them right? It's one of those "high school experiences" Since I only have a few weeks of high school left...why not be a true high school student for once. heh.

I May Look Sickly but I'm not I Swear.

So I went to the doctor's today after school for the whole physical thingy. I got a shot...mennigitis vaccine. Gah now I feel worse than I did walking into that place....left arm is killing me but I'm not into getting shots in the butt heh. Anyways I also have a sciatica. They want me to take a muscle relaxer and steriods but I'm not planning on it unless the pain really gets unbearable because I've heard people are pretty loopy after the muscle relaxers. And steroids tend to make people puff up heh. Anwyays, atleast I know I'm not dying....haha. Seriously in the back of my mind was the worst possible scenario which we won't even go into.

Anyways afterwards we went to Best Buy to purchase the new NFG album....completely sold out! Gah went a few doors down to Walmart, completely gone! GAH! We were also looking for a bag for my junk for prom and there were stores along the way the last one in the strip was Kohls found a black patent leather one I liked for 6 bucks, orginally 30! The deal of the day. Plus shoe carnival had the chucks I wanted on sale but they were still 35 bucks and that's all the cash I have so I didn't buy them. So I may try the Walmart and Mejier out here tommorrow for the CD if I have access to the vehicle. If not Prom Saturday night I will have the car can you say B-Buy run first? lmao. Nah probably go during the day, Prom dressing it up in Best Buy lmao.

God my arm is killing me from that shot....hurts majorly to even attempt to lift my arm over my head. Well I better go finishing reading this book for a book report that's due Monday!?! What the hell? Right? What kind of teacher assigns a book report due the day after Prom weekend? So I need to knock that out before Prom. So much to do...so little time. Oh yeah....fun times in Pre-Calc but we'll get into that another time.

Why Dr. Carter? Why!?!

That's my reaction to the last episode of season six of ER. Yeah I just finished watching it a little bit ago. It was an all to relateable episode for me. I hate that. Especially when things are relatable in a bad way. Maybe that's a good thing though, I don't know. I think if I was on the episode and I had lines I'd know what I'd say...things I don't know if I could really say to someone but things that should've been said. But no, not yet. Maybe I'll get there someday, but not today. Lets just say I did not participate in the post 4/20 conversations today. I could go off on a long rant right here but I have pre-calc and a disc of 7th Heaven to watch heh. Plus an 18 year olds opinion going out to another 17-19 year old kid really doesn't make much difference because they're going to do whatever the fuck they want regardless of what I say. (all in person of course, not accusing readers of anything)

Oh and my myspace is now fully NFG/ISHC pimped. Yep. It's for a contest, so hopefully I win a bunch of cool swag! I need to start my internet contest winning up again. I haven't won anything since Warped Tour time last year, poster, DVD and err those unused tickets dammit. Anywho...Grad party is looking to be probably on June 14th. More details later.
